北京时间4月12日凌晨,中日合制的动画片《Butlers~千年百年物语~》(以下简称《物语》),在日本六大电视台以及爱奇艺和芒果TV同步播出日语版.评论里是不少网友兴奋的声音:从小到大看了这么多日本动画片,这次终于可以让日本小朋友追一部我们原创的爆款动画了!

《物语》是日本出版界三巨头之一角川首次投资中国国产IP的动画化,而这个IP最早出自杭州姑娘徐文总策划的国漫《男神执事团》(以下简称《男神》).

女学霸的动漫梦

《物语》开播前的3月24日,日本角川把它作为这一季主推作品,送上了全球最大动画展——AnimeJapan的大舞台,白天展台现场被二次元(漫画迷的统称)粉丝围得里三层外三层.晚上试映会,在池袋一家电影院的检票处,徐文背着双肩包站在那里,笑嘻嘻地看着排着长队等待入内的观众.

这位土生土长的杭州姑娘,原先住在小营巷一带,杭二中高中毕业后考进了上海华东政法大学,2006年毕业去了美国工作,2012年回国发展前年薪已相当于200万元人民币……这一路她拿的都是学霸的“剧本”.

但对于“学霸”的名头,徐文却有些不置可否:“毕竟我是个从小就让父母头疼的小孩啊.每天想尽办法看电视,天塌下来都挡不住我.”

那会儿父母为了阻止徐文看电视,拔插头,锁电视,甚至妈妈在电视上放头发监视她的招数,都被她一一,“我拿着放大镜把每根头发拿下来放在白纸上编号,看完电视再放回去.”

这么大费周章,主要就是为了看动漫和电视剧.

大学虽然学的是法律,但徐文没放弃对漫画的爱好,她甚至和几个好朋友一起做了全亚洲最大的《新世纪福音战士》的粉丝站.

其实,吸引她的都是那些二次元角色身上无限的可能性.这份爱好支撑着她,“诱惑”着她,让她最终放弃国外高薪工作,彻底投入打造精品国漫的世界.

放弃高薪转行国漫

《男神》这个作品的由来,源自徐文一次脑洞大开——2014年夏天,开始做手游(在手机上玩的游戏的统称)的徐文,在广告片场,看到很多女生围着男主角拍广告片,突然想到:为什么不能做一个帅哥围着女生转的作品?

当时那个广告的导演程亮,听完她的想法当场就说:我觉得OK.

得到肯定的徐文,当时就兴奋了:这是一个机会.

很快,她成立了浅夏动漫(Summer ACG),两个月后,推出了漫画《男神》,在“有妖气”上线连载,一周点击量破10万,评论齐刷刷地在催促更新.徐文明确了浅夏未来的发展方向:做原创IP.

“一开始公司里除了画手和编剧这些技术工种,其他人真的什么都不懂.”

但当时这个团队目标很一致:做国漫,打造精品.

这注定不是一条轻松的路,甚至可以说是“一年活三岁”.因为行业发展太快,前人看似成熟的商业模式,转眼就过时了,这是一个没什么“套路”可循的行业.浅夏这一路,交的“学费”也不少.

在医院里打着点滴,上午跟心急变现的投资人见面,下午跟作者对剧本,这些都是那段时间徐文的常态.父母一度劝她放弃,在长辈们心里,女儿其实可以不用这么累的.“但我哪是这么容易被劝住的人”,徐文笑道.

幸运的是,《男神》和浅夏动漫的成长,正好和国内二次元行业的成长同步.2014年,正是国漫领域开始发力发展的时间.《男神》幸运地赶上了市场的爆发点,浅夏也和大环境一起蓬勃往前.

《男神》漫画上线后2个月,和北京乐华圆娱文化传播有限公司合作开发的同名网剧开拍;2015年7月上线播出后,在没有任何宣传的情况下获得了全网超两亿次的播放量,有效点击率不输同期热播的偶像剧《花千骨》.

6个月后,《男神》同名手游上线,下载量达到400万次.2016年底的时候,“有妖气”上的漫画就已经点击量破亿,微博话题量超过4.5亿.

“这些成绩让我们备受震撼!”2016年,日本角川集团动画企划部部长工藤大藏在接触到《男神》时,这样形容道.

国产IP的“东游记”

角川作为日本出版业“三巨头”之一,很少和国外企业合作.

2016年4月,在《男神》的IP运作进程表中,到了该“动画化”的时候.浅夏也循动漫界的合作惯例,广发英雄帖.万万没想到,刚被人推荐到日本,就被角川动画企划部制作人田村先生撞上了.他当即表示“很喜欢这个故事和人设,希望可以合作”.

过去,“中日合作”的国漫,都是以中方企业掏钱,雇佣日本团队制作动画环节,这种模式下,日方基本不会让中方人员参与到内容的创作过程中.而主动向中方伸出合作橄榄枝的动作,此前从未有过,徐文将信将疑去了日本.

2016年4月,双方在角川大楼第一次见面.“一开始是跟动画企划部部长工藤大藏在聊,突然来了一位老先生,进门就鞠躬然后说日语,我其实也听不太懂,后来翻译跟我说,这是角川的社长井上伸一郎.”角川的合作诚意给徐文留下了深刻的印象.

会议结束后,双方的合作开始推进.

每周3小时的网络剧本会讨论剧情走向,以及每个名字、每张图、每个角色、角色名单上面的颜色等,这些都是由浅夏和角川共同商议选择的.“这样的合作方式,不仅仅让我们能够深度地参与到项目开发中,更能将日本动漫工业成熟的技术和制作经验积累到自己手中.”

如果在双方讨论中出现与原作非常不符的设定,浅夏动漫有一票否决的权力.8个月后,《男神》变成了《物语》.

日本的动漫工业流程是很严谨的,哪怕是角川自己IP库里的作品,通常也要经过3年的研究评判,才会决定是否要动画化,而真正完成,需要的时间更久.

在保持原版人设不变的情况下,角川抽出骨干力量负责剧情的再创作,同时邀请了日本著名的动画制作公司SILVER LINK.(株式会社SILVER LINK.)承制动画,Lantis公司(Lantis Records Co.,Ltd)创作音乐.这两家公司,在日本甚至全亚洲的动漫界都有着极高的认知度.特别是Lantis,属于超一线公司,即使日本本土公司想要与其合作都需要排队等候.

所有的一切都朝着徐文梦想的方向前进,整个IP的投资,达到数千万元级.

想让儿子看国漫精品

“2014年决这行,那时我儿子5岁,在家看电视,要么是喜羊羊,要么是熊出没,要么就是日本动画片,没有其他选择,我觉得这不对.”因为工作不得不在杭州、上海、北京、等地连轴转的徐文,虽然失去了很多陪伴孩子的时间,但入行时的初心却一直没变.

3月24日晚11点,《物语》试映会结束后,走在街头的徐文陷入了回忆.“我不想儿子长大以后聊起来只有这些,我想让儿子有更多属于精品国漫的记忆.”

“动漫其实不是只做给小孩子看的.”徐文说,“一部《棋魂》,日本多了400万围棋手.动漫也可以向孩子们输出勇敢、坚强、团队的价值观和很多传统艺术”,在她心里,中国有那么久的历史和丰富的文化,就应该有硬气到让日本人都羡慕的国漫精品.

徐文和浅夏动漫还掌握着《黑白无双》、《大宋提刑官》、《诡水疑云》等优秀大IP,打造着《文明之光》等文化向手游,缔造属于自己的二次元文化圈.“我们要做的不只是《男神》,更不限于开发游戏和影视,我们要推动中国的二次元文化从‘进口’变成‘出口’.杭州是中国的动漫之都,这可能是我作为一个杭州人,能为打造真正的国漫精品所做的最大努力吧.”

入夜的樱花美到让人怀疑真实性,走在街头的徐文却无心欣赏,创业路上的困难很多,“其实我没有几天睡过完整的觉,哪怕是做出了爆款,也有很多意想不到的状况不断发生,感觉每一天都是升级打怪.”

在她的计划表里,玩具、公园、文创产品、跨次元偶像等等,依然还有很多没有完成的内容,“这些都是动漫行业在国内的空间和方向,所有的都才刚起步,我们作为一份子,愿意陪着这个行业慢慢走下去.”

“Made in Hangzhou” Anime Wins Fans in Japan

For anime fans in China, the thrill came from the fact that this time they were watching an anime adapted from an amazing storyline dreamed up by a Chinese girl named Xu Wen.

tells the story of a girl who has to finish 10 missions commissioned by 10 ‘guardians’ to find her missing boyfriend. The adventure opens her eyes and makes her realize the mystery of life. is also the first time Kadokawa Pictures, one of Japan’s ‘Big Four’ film studios, invested in the production of an anime that is based on a ‘made in China’ story.

Kadokawa Pictures started promotion of about three weeks prior to the release, featuring the anime at AnimeJapan, the world’s largest anime consumer show. Anime fans waited in a long queue at the ticket counter of a cinema in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, for a preview of . The queue made Xu Wen, who was standing nearby, truly happy.

Xu Wen went to the US in 2006, after graduation from East China University of Political Science and Law. Back in China in 2012, she had an established career and an enviable salary. “I never saw myself a ‘straight-A’ student; I was kind of a problem child and brought endless headaches to my parents, every day racking my brain to get a chance to watch TV.”

She chose law as her major at college, but her passion in anime never waned with age. During her undergraduate years, she built an Evengelion fan community, the largest one in Asia. “The infinite possibilities created by what’s called the ACGN world are always fascinating me, bringing me back to my own country to be part of it.”

Inspired by what she saw at an advertising filming site in 2014, Xu Wen shared a story idea with a director and launched Summer ACG later that year. She had started her own mobile game business. was released only two months after, serialized on an online platform and winning 100,000 hits within a week. The success of the manga pointed out the direction of Summer ACG.

“Most of the team members were newbies, knowing little about ACG; but we set the goal big and clear, that is, to build a truly Chinese brand in the Japan-dominated ACG industry,” Xu Wen recalls, adding that it was a process of trial and error, and the ceaseless worrying about falling behind the latest business trends was a test of everyone’s anti-pressure ability.

“I was too busy to squeeze in time to see a doctor. I had no time for my son, who was turning 5 when I had just started my ACG dream. I had to deal with impatient investors and spent hours after hours working out details with script writers. It was a tough time, and my parents were worried about their ‘derailed’ girl, but I was determined.”

It turned out that was born at the right time. The mobile game of the manga achieved four million downloads.

The sensational success of led to the cooperation between Summer ACG and Kadokawa Pictures, and eventually led to the release of . Discussion of all details regarding the anime production took eight months, during which a three-hour online meeting was held weekly.

Silver Link and Lantis Records Co., Ltd, both ranking among the best in Japan, contributed to the anime.

“Animation is not just a babysitter. What I want to do is to boost originality in the ACG industry of China.”
